MyFlightbook has the ability to do a bulk-delete of flights (under Profile->Account->Big Red Buttons), but occasionally I am asked about bulk-deletion of a subset of flights (e.g., for a specific date range). I don't have any tool for this that you don't have, so in this post I will describe how to do this.
These instructions work on the website only, not the iOS or Android apps, and it makes heavy use of the flights drop-down menu above and to the left of the list of flights, next to the count of entries.
Note that deletion is an irreversible operation; be sure to double check things at every step of the way.
- I strongly recommend backing up your flights first (Logbook->Download). Just in case...
- Search for the set of flights that you want to delete.
- If necessary, choose "Show All" from the flights drop-down menu:
This will ensure that all of the matching flights are loaded for subsequent steps. - From the same menu, choose "Select Flights:"
- Repeat as necessary if you did not choose "Show All" in step 3.
